Sustain Pedal

My sustain Pedal Not works with logic pro x- Novation Impulse 61.

Everything works fine.. only when sustain pedal connected either it holds the sustain or it cuts of the keyboard completely.. Dead Keys....

So I have to disconnect the Sustain Pedal and USB cable and connect only USB cable to get the sound.. Same for logic sounds and FM8 Syntesizer..

Any Help Much Appreciated.

Which sustain pedal do you have?  You sure you're not plugged in to the expression port and it's setting the volume?

Also make sure that you plug the sustain pedal in BEFORE you plug in the USB cable.  Some sustain pedals have reversed polarity - the keyboard auto-senses that when it's powered up, if you plug in the pedal afterward it can get the polarity backwards which leads to some really unexpected behavior.
