LaunchControl XL firmware update/restore

LaunchControl XL firmware update/restore

 

Is there a way to update/restore factory firmware on the LaunchControl XL? On the product's support download page only the LaunchControl XL Editor installer (which is a useful tool, but doesn't do firmware updates) and the manuals are available.

I'm asking because lately my controller started to do some really weird things (for example, pressing the Solo button switches to User Mode, pressing the second Track Control button also 'presses' the thrid and fourth track controls too). I use it with Ableton, but I'm sure the problem is on the controller side - I checked the MIDI messages sent by the controller with MIDI-OX. While other buttons (Mute, Record Arm) send simple MIDI NOTE messages, the Solo sends some weird SysEX.

Unfortunately I don't have the invoice and other docs for the product so I cannot return it to the seller. I a firmware update/refresh may fix it (I hope).

Sorry to hear about the issues occuring with the Launch Control XL, but we are more than happy to help. There isn't a firmware update/reset for the device, but if the issue is occuring while using a USER template, you can attempt a reset through the Launch Control XL Editor. If it hasn't already been tested, please test the Launch Control XL with another USB cable on all available USB ports. If issues are still occuring, please contact us through the following link:

Unfortunately I have tried all the things you mentioned already (it's own cable, other cables, powered USB HUBs and direct connection, etc). I shot a shot video about the issue:
