Hello, just joined to ask this question.  I haven't bought the Launchkey 61 yet.  Im still trying to decide which one to go with.  Its a toss up between Launchkey and M-Audio Axiom MK2.  I just want to know how well Launchkey works with mainstage and Native Instruments.  I'm new to midi and learning a whole lot, thanks to Youtube. I want a controller that is easy to use and learn.  Thanks!

Hi fabeandles,

The Launchkey is designed to quickly integrate with Ableton, but will also communicate and work with most major DAWs. Although it may not automatically connect and map to parameters in Mainstage and Native Instruments, the device still operates as a MIDI controllers and deeper control over parameters in the software can be manually assigned. An example would be when opening Mainstage, the keys automatically allowed the user to play the instrument, but the "Layout" section in the software allowed manual mapping to available controls on the software instrument.
