Keeping Ipad charged

Hey guys,

i've got a launchkey 61 in order and it's mainly for use with my Ipad.

Now i'm looking for a way to keep my Ipad charged while being connected to my Launchkey.

From what i can find on info a powered usb hub could do the trick if it has 2.0 or 2.1 A output.

Anyone has any experience and/or recommendations? Preferably affordable which means under €50.

Any suggestions are very much appreciated!

Currently there is not an alternative for charging the ipad while connected to launchkey.

Hey Mike,

Thanks for your response.

Will a set up with a usb- hub not work at all? I'd already be happy if my Ipad did at least not drain.

Working with audiobus can be quite demanding ( thanks for audiosupport btw!).

And if a usb set up will not work could you explain why?

i'm very new to all this and i'm just trying to get a firm understanding of the huge amount of technical terms, possibilities and limitations that i'm confronted with.

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

Just want to say that I am really interested in this topic too. I am about to buy the Launchkey and I'll be using it for live gigs with the ipad as well. I definitely don't want power to be a problem. I too have read that a powered usb is the solution in this kind of situations with other midi keyboards. I would appreciate an answer too.

Thank you.

Use a powerlug inte keyboard, and the USB camera kit to USB.
