FL Studio and Deckadance drivers

FL Studio and Deckadance drivers

Hi Novation guys. Have you ever thought to make a driver for FL Studio, especially the Performance (live) mode? It would be something similar to the A. Live one.

Either that or/and Deckadance 2 would be really great, because now FL Studio and Deckadance can communicate very well so it would be perfect (at least for me :P..).

Deckadance would be an easier task I think because of the scripting functions.

Someone else interested?

cheers

Lorenzo

Hi Rifter,

In order for your request to be granted, Image line would have to make custom mappings for the Twitch.

Thank you Mike. I'll write to Image Line too, but I thought it would be a good idea to let you know there's someone interested.

Twitch for FL Studio could also revamp Twitch sales I think. Especially considering that it would be coupled with Launchpad and Remote. FL Studio has a huge user base.

Maybe it would be a good idea to collaborate with IL on this front

Hey, while trying to find a solution I found this topic

http://forum.novationmusic.com/forums/twitch/bitwig-midi-support

where a user is creating a custom mapping for Bitwig with the Live Twitch Translator. In the Translator manual is stated:

Quote:

Introduction

Novation has created an application that allows users to set up and use the TWITCH to control parameters in Ableton Live

(and any other MIDI compatible DJ software).

So, can I build an FL Studio custom mapping with multiple assignement like for Ableton Live with it?

I don't really undestand what the Live Translator is for. You can map the Twitch without it in FLS. Unfortunately you can't access many commands in that software, like transport, internal Browser navigation, switching the interface windows ecc. (which I would like). Other then this almost every knob on FLS is linkable, including every instrument, plugin or effect.

But you can use the two Basic and Advanced "states" on the Twitch to access the various layers for the pads, touchstrips and the FXs area knobs.

So what's the porpuse of the Translator?

Well, even if nobody seems to to be interested in a Twitch - FL Studio mapping, I think I found a solution for that: I'm going to modify the Launchpad template for FL Studio (you can find it in the MIDI options of FLS) and use MIDI-OX to remap the messages sent by the Twitch to match those expected from that template.

If anybody is interested, this is the thread were Image Line guys helped me out with this:
