Moving patches to a select slot

I'm an old guy and tech stuff....  Simply, what's the sequence of moving any internal patch to a designated slot?  I don't want to iterate this for fear of erasing something.  In addition, I have imported some patches into MY PATCHES (librarian)---same thing, move them to a designated slot.

I'm not sure that you can do this strictly using the UN by itself. I think you would need to use the Librarian to sort the order of your banks, then move those banks to your UN.

I messed around with it a bit, and here's how I move a new patch to a selected spot:

1) Have the UN connected to your computer, have the editor and librarian open

2) Plug in headphones to UN

3) On the UN, select the slot that you want to populate with a new patch, say for example, D121.

4) In the librarian, double-click on the patch you want to load into that slot.

5) Play the new patch to make sure it's the one you want

6) Make any adjustments to the new patch

7) Push the WRITE button on the UN three (3) times.

8) Your new patch is now written to the designated slot.

Hello there,

One question I couldn't get answered yet - are ALL of the UN patches rewritable (with or without the librarian)?

Thanks

progg - yes, you can write over all 512 patches in the UN. The first 3 banks (128 patches each) come populated, and bank D is all init patches. One of my "to do" list items is to download all of the soundbanks and go through them one patch at a time. Once I've done that, I'll pick which patches I want in the slots.

Thank you, dougb256! I usually do the same.
