A New Twitch

I think an updated (mk2) version of the Twitch would be a revolution in the Djing and controllerism world. Just saying... :P

Haha, thanks ogulkoker - I would pass on the suggestion, but I'm pretty sure our product team have heard it before. ;)

Oooh, cool concept pictures!  I'll throw these over to our product team - nice one.

No crossfader, though?

to use with external mixer, one version use serato dj with audio interface (DVS System) + effects controls knobs section + browser functions + decks transport section + pads to loops, loop rool, etc... and two knobs to volume samplers
and other version without audio interface to use with rane sl 2,3 or 4 interface... i think it will be a great controller for dj that already have scratch live... I look something like this a long time on the market...

I second that a sequel to the Twitch should happen.  It's entirely changed the way I DJ (for the better) and I absolutely adore playing because of it.

And whilst I love the portable nature of it, I would love an updated version which is even more closely linked to Serato-DJ even if it involved the Twitch-2 being a slightly larger device than the current model.

I'd quite like a bigger touchstrip on the new model, as that's the feature that has really defined the Twitch, perhaps even with standard MP3/FLAC USB stick support (with extra channels and a little built-in screen to allow browsing), the FX "corner" being re-vamped to match the multi-FX on Serato DJ (of course the current model is more matched to ITCH) and I think you've got a very marketable product.

I'd probably buy two anyway!

I really love the concept of twitch, light, portable with full software control.
MK2 version with 4 decks, RGB/Velocity pads, more SP6 controls and 8 knobs/buttons for Serato DJ FX will be awesome...
And especially keep the same functions for pads, and/or add it.

I remember myself of a Twitch concept posted on djtt forum : http://forum.djtechtools.com/showthread.php?t=49487
Exemples mappings are for traktor but this twitch 24 could be a nice evolution for Serato DJ too.
I think Twitch MKII must stay USB powered because it's an important piece of his concept but you could add an external power in option...

I like the Twitch 24, but I think it might be improved by the following:

In keeping with the new trend toward modular units, I'd like to purchase a unit which has a similar form-factor to the Native Instruments X1/F1/Z2 however, instread of only having the "free floating" option, it would be nice to connect (click together) modular units so that it felt a little more orderly than the mad scientist look. Novation has the unique position of innovative (hence the name) and affordable units, addressing the needs of both the Producer and the DJ (in what appears to be the new standard). I recommend modular units because not all who wish to use their gear want to use it the same way. Personally speaking, I own a Twitch, (a Maschine Mikro Mk2) and a Remote 25SL Mk2 because I want more functionality than what the Twitch (alone) offers. Having the option to use 4 channels in Traktor with the Twitch sways people to buy Traktor instead of being locked in to Serato DJ's "2 channel only" mix environment.

Please, please, please advance the state of LED buttons to more than the bi-color (or no color in the case of the drum pads in the Remote 25 Mk2) current offering. I know Red, Green, Yellow have a very "stop light" feel, but I use a popular drum machine that has "full color" layout, and I really appreciate having a wider array of colors to choose from (this is suggested in the Twtich 24 picture). It also wouldn't hurt any to include the velocity sensitive buttons on everything Novation manufactures from here, on out, especially in a new version of the LaunchPad. It might also help to make all the Ring and VU LEDs, full-color (such as a the ring lights) to indicate (at a glance) you are using a particular effect, and possibly to use the LEDs as VU indicators for each control (just a thought).

Additionally, I'd like to see something like an Automap application (in a D.A.W. such as Ableton) to help bridge the gap between DJ application and Production environment, much like "the One" so someone with all of the gear I have can use it all without having to go through strange configurations and opting to use two programs at once, and toggling between/among the two (or more) applications. I suggest something like Automap because it has a much better middleware integration and can be the basis for advanced (read as scripted) behaviors of buttons and lights.

So, in summary, requesting: Click-together modularity, Full-color, velocity and aftertouch sensitive buttons, Multi-color LED, Ring and VU lights and, A helper program for advanced behaviors within software.

Push-kills on the EQ pots wouldn't hurt any either, I currently map the unused (red) buttons below the "FX enable tab" (in Traktor) for this option.

I'd like to see an AFX unit on either side of my DVS setup, I don't like the idea of sharing 2 decks in one controller though and having to switch with a button.

I still say - make a 4 channel Twitch unit that's also DVS ready.

With DVS option.....I'm sure you could pop in the new Flip controls, synch etc somewhere in there...

This would be a good learning for everyone else that we should know how to save money. Whenever the stock market appears unstable, every person will pull their cash out. This will end up leaving you with less cash. You have to keep your investments in the market even during bad times. It is worth paying for a payday loan if you need fast cash rather than losing cash on your investments by pulling out. Get more info at: https://personalmoneynetwork.com/payday-loans/

Well, BPM has come and gone.  I guess a Twitch MK2 isn't on their roadmap.

Heck, has a mod or Novation rep even commented in this forum?   :S
