Polyphonic Bass Station

4 voice polyphonic Bass Station 2 with stereo chorus, stereo delay (with Ping-Pong mode and rythmic divisions synced to the ARP), stereo out and ANIMATE buttons from MiniNova.

The same interface and internal engine as BS2, plastic, and under 800GBP. A competitor to the DSI Mopho X4 or a poor-man's Jupiter.

I'll add to this:

Please keep the signal path from oscilators to audio outputs completely analog.  Make the digital send effects parallel to main audio path.

Oh, and add some looping envelopes!  :)

An alternative Bi-Timbral mode with split keyboard (user defined split point). Lower part works as BS2 without chorus or delay and have separate mono output for bass duties. Higher part have stereo output, effects and 3 voices for chords, pads, stabs and arpeggios.

Chord memory. Chords are recorded by the user and stored under ANIMATE buttons. So we can switch from minor to major or anything else with the buttons and pitch the chords from the keyboard. Polyphonic sequencer for quick phrases and some smart mix of ARP, sequencer, chord memory, animate buttons and arpeggio rhytms. The mix of ARP and SEQ on the BS2 is excellent. Go further and develop something for polyphonic, real time improvisation and a source of happy accidents.

A switch that changes the behaviour of the 8 buttons from Animate to Chord Memory to 8 multi setups for live performance.

Pitch drift/slope parameter for each oscilator, for old school random detuning.

Duophonic mode with 2 sounds layered and monophonic stack with 4 voices playing the same note. Voice detune of course.

Agreed, that Acid filter is not needed on a poly, as well as distortion. Chorus and delay are much more useful.

Hi I just signed up to add my vote for a polyphonic analogue synth.

However I would request a slight difference:

6 voices if possible - under £1000

VCO - Bass station Oscillators may be too stable for an involving poly synth...or some 'oscialltor slop' parameter...more movement in Osc and voices - more creamy sound...

Digital delay outside of analogue signal path, or analogue delay

Analogue chorus (otherwise no chorus...)

perhaps acid filter and distortion not needed-chorus and delay instead

pseudo multitimbral - able to play 1 voice (bass line) witth 5 voices on another patch

Arp and other nice control features of the bass station

The producer world is crying out for a 'great sounding'' lower cost poly so I hope you are already building this!

WOW :)
A really good idea!
4 voices and I would also love to see 4 channel multi-timbral!

But why settle for comparing with DSI's Mopho x4?
Thought it was incredible shame that DSI did not go all the way with Mopho x4 and made Tetran in the keyboard version with 4 polyphonic and 4-channel multi-timbral. And why stick to the other competitor and stop at the 49 keys? Go for a 61-keyboard version and a dekstop version

That would be great. 6 or 8 voices would rock!

Any chance Novation?
